NORTHBRIDGE — Artist Palette has found a new home.

Formerly located in the Bernat Mill in Uxbridge that was destroyed by fire, the Artist Palette is now located at 70 Douglas Road, Whitinsville, in Alternatives’ Whitin Mill complex.

Artist Palette once again has opened its doors and is able to pursue its mission of bringing art awareness to the community.

Artist Palette offers fine art classes in a safe and fun environment. Classes are offered for school age children to adults. Private and home-school classes, therapeutic art classes and birthday parties are among the many opportunities offered through Artist Palette.

“I’ve worked with Alternatives for a number of years now,” said Pamela Murphy, Artist Palette’s owner, “and it seemed a natural connection to find space at the mill.”

Alternatives is a non-profit agency serving adults with developmental and psychiatric disabilities throughout Central Massachusetts.

“We’ve had a long and fruitful relationship with Artist Palette and Pamela Murphy,” said Alternatives’ Director of Community Outreach, Tom Saupe. “Pam has taught inclusive classes and had exhibitions in our Uxbridge Community Gallery for several years. It just feels natural to have her at the Whitin Mill.”

As well as being the owner and instructor of Artist Palette, Pamela Murphy is a well-known area artist and holds a BA in art therapy and fine art from Anna Maria College. She has shown her work extensively in the Blackstone Valley area and is a member of the Blackstone Valley Art Association.
