UniBank Donates $5,000 to Alternatives Milford Daily News June 23, 2010 UniBank is pleased to announce that a $5,000 grant was awarded to Alternatives Unlimited, Inc. Alternatives provides residential and employment services to adults with disabilities throughout Central Massachusetts through a variety of programs, placing a strong emphasis on social integration.
The $5,000 grant will be used to purchase adaptive equipment to improve the quality of life of the individuals served by Alternatives by enabling them to be self-reliant. Examples of this equipment range from physical therapy equipment to walkers that enhance mobility and help individuals walk on their own.
According to James F. Paulhus, president and CEO of UniBank, “Alternatives continues to be served by an extraordinary group of staff, dedicated volunteers and a caring and competent management group. We are proud to support their efforts in the community.”
Dennis H. Rice, executive director of Alternatives stated, “Since Alternatives began, UniBank has been tremendously supportive of our mission of providing community life for people with disabilities. We thank them, not just for this gift, but for all the support they have shown us over the years.”
